Copy Trading and Prop Firms: Record Permission and Message Identity
A copied message, a copied order and permission to use a method are different records. Before evaluating a copy-trading arrangement, establish the product rules, account control and the evidence for each action. A repeated notification does not provide multiple independent decisions or successes.

Verify permission for the specific arrangement
Record the account owner, who would control decisions and the exact method being proposed. Seek an applicable official rule or clarification. A broad statement about allowed strategies should not be expanded into permission for every third-party service, coordinated account arrangement or credential-sharing practice.
HashHedge’s rules and contractual conditions need to be read for the actual product. This page does not confirm that a particular copying workflow is allowed and does not provide instructions to evade rules. Personal access codes and account documents are not part of the worksheet.
Count a fictional message sequence correctly
An example feed contains messageM 1, the same text forwarded twice, and a later revisionM 2 changing a condition. The two forwards are repeats ofM 1, whileM 2 is a revised version. Counting all four deliveries as four independent setups would inflate the record.
Keep the original publication, receipt and revision times. A matching text fingerprint can identify a repeated message, but an actual execution requires its own account evidence. A changed condition should remain visible rather than replacing the original pre-decision text.
| Item | Classification | Separate evidence |
|---|---|---|
| M 1 original | One message version | Publication time |
| Two forwards ofM 1 | Repeated deliveries | Do not count as new setups |
| M 2 changed condition | New version | PreserveM 1 |
| Proposed copying method | Permission unknown | Applicable official rule |
| Claimed outcome | Not supplied | Actual account record |
Keep performance evidence at the right level
This site’s existing message-fingerprint tool supports deduplication. Use it to organise source material, not to infer a fill, profit or pass from message frequency. Multiple messages about one idea can still correspond to no executed position at all.
If an outcome is reported, retain the source cohort, costs and unresolved cases. A screenshot selected after a favourable result is not a complete history. The article does not connect accounts or automate order replication.
Assess the provider and the method separately
Consider product eligibility, loss conditions and entry cost on their own evidence. Then check whether the proposed method has the required permission and fits your control requirements. Leave unsupported conclusions open.
The optional HashHedge link describes its current programme. It is not an invitation to a copy service, an assurance about account delegation or a claim that a repeated message creates a trading opportunity.
